25 Random Acts of Kindness

With December now here and the countdown till Christmas ready to begin, I wanted to create my very own 25 day challenge. I thought it would be a great idea to end 2016 with a bang by doing 25 random Acts of kindness in 25 days. I brainstormed some ideas and came up with the list below.

To make things a tad bit more fun,  I will be awarding four $25 Visa Gift Cards to 4 random people who document any of the listed acts using  hashtag #GWJ25ActsofKindness. Be sure to make your profiles public on December 25th so I don't miss your entry. If you'd like to log you acts of kindness by day, please feel free to download this free template by clicking  here.

Don's forget to share photos of your journey by using #GWJ25ActsofKindness. Please comment in this blog post if you plan to participate!

I really love this, I think it is so important to share little bits of love and show acts of kindness, no matter how small. I will be saving this for future ideas.

What a beautiful idea! It’s kind of like paying it forward for a few! We should do this all year around, don’t you think?

Doing random acts of kindness is such a great idea, especially in this season of giving.
Some of the acts are not entirely relevant to me because I don’t live in the States, but I can understand the essence behind them.
I will try out some of the acts in your list!

I love this so much. I try to live my life this way for the most part but sometimes I do find myself getting so caught up in my own doings that I don’t think about what small thing I could be doing for someone else. I think I’ll try #20. I’ve always liked the idea of buying a child something off the Angel Tree. Thank you for this. It really put some things back into perspective for me.

This is such a great idea. I have done a couple personal challenges in the past, but most have been focused on self-improvement. In a way, this is too, but I love the impact of it.

Wow, what a great list! I love how creative and yet simple these ideas are. These are little things that anyone can do.

A client dog one day was shivering as it was cold. It just had a hair cut and the weather just turned cold. He wouldn’t stop shivering and the client didn’t seem too concerned, if I’m honest it didn’t bother her at all that her poor dog was shivering. Poor Thing. So I gave the dog my sweater and wrapped it round her to keep her warm. She immediately stop shivering and curled up in a ball to sleep. The sweater kept her warm all day and she was perfectly content (as the poor dog was walking around trying to find a warm spot to sleep) after that.
That to me is a random act of kindness and one that show we shouldn’t forget animals as well as people. Sorry your posts reminded me of this and I thought I share it with you. xx

  • Krista Dial: December 04, 2016

I absolutely love this idea. I’ve seen a few other folks do it and think it would be so fun and fulfilling! I’m planning to do one of these myself or perhaps wait and do it in the New Year next month. I think it’s a great way to make a lot of peoples’ day!

  • Lulle: December 04, 2016

These are all such great ideas! I think this world needs a lot more kindness and we can make a change if we all do just a little bit.

  • Heather Denniston: December 04, 2016

Random acts of kindness. imagine if we strung them all together and just created an ongoing flow of loveliness!

  • Amanda @bephoenixfit: December 03, 2016

These are great ideas. I’ve been telling my kids how we should do RAOK to others, and these will help spark them to do so!

  • Jasmine Eclipse: December 03, 2016

I love this so so much! I’ve been in kind of a rut lately, and I think that doing nice things for others will surely get me back into a great mood! I especially love the putting a coin in someone’s meter and inviting people over for a meal. I just moved into a new house, new country, so making friends is something I’m working on!

  • Cricket Plunkett: December 03, 2016

I love all of these, I do work from home but I think the idea of bringing them to a hospital is so kind!

  • Ellie: December 03, 2016

Oh I am gonna print this out for my kids! We were talking about this this week. Thanks so much it’s so important to remember the real reason of the Holidays.

  • JanD: December 03, 2016

Reading the list reminded me of a couple of random acts of kindness that I did last week – they happened rather unconsciously, you know when you are on the go and see a couple of painters painting walls and they’ve been at it since the morning and haven’t had a break. And then I found myself reaching for two bottles of water and just handing it to them. And it wasn’t my home walls they were painting.
